I love being a Taurus and I love #TaurusSZN
I turned 29 and don't care if you roll your eyes at astrology
May is a great month to be born in. No shade to all the other months but…
In the northern hemisphere, it’s the time when May Flowers have been BROUGHT by April Showers.
Weather is getting nicer. Therefore, people are getting nicer.
And it’s not gross yet so people are still straight vibing.
Bright, fresh greens burst from all directions screaming, “LIFE!!!!!!”
The seasonal depression melts away into normal depression. One depression is easier to manage than two.
May has always been a good month for me.
Things I’ve been chipping away at tend to get a big break, and new moves and new projects also emerge. I get to be surrounded by friends, families, and lovers who want to celebrate my life.
It could just the combination of September to June U.S. school year cycle and April to March Japanese school year cycle mixed and settled into my body. But I know, that no matter how hopeless or pointless the work I do can feel when Taurus season hits, abundance finally blooms - an exciting respite in the anxious artist life.
Taurus is the spring time earth sign. We’re known for our stubbornness and like the other earth signs we are grounded and pretty pragmatic. We keep our head down and we get shit done. But we’re not as tightly wound as Virgos or Capricorns. We’re ruled by Venus so pleasure, sensuality, opulence is our north star.
And look, tell me astrology is bullshit, but there is no other way I’d rather be than pleasure-driven, sensuous, and opulent.
5/2 of last year - Taurus season yes! Was when first president of japan made our debut. I didn’t even plan it that way. It just happened to be the first show we got booked to play.
And this year on 5/9 we played at Bar Freda, the same venue. A full circle! After the show, I had a conversation that may lead to a straight up manifestation of what I had been hoping for the second year of first president of japan. I can’t tell you what it is yet because I don’t want to jinx it!!
This was the first month in first president of japan history that we had bands and shows reaching out to us weekly - as of today, we have shows booked until October 🫢 I’m telling ya, abundance!
I’m proud of us for having made it through a whole year of making and playing music together. Even more so because in just a year we’ve worked our asses off so tight that a lot of people don’t believe us when we’ve only been a band for a year. WEEKLY PRACTICE BABY.
I’m excited for the second year of first president of japan, and have lots and lots of ambitions that I will slowly and steadily trot towards in my Taurean way.
The end! Short and sweet full moon post!
